Fall is the perfect time for gathering all the dreams in my dream box and setting some new goals for the following year. Just as the trees shed their leaves but remain rooted in the earth, I feel that I start letting go of what no longer serves me and start rooting to continue my current dreams or to start building new ones for the upcoming Spring. In the Spring, when the new leaves bud on the trees which has stood the test of winter, I too want to have the freshness of Spring and green gold flowing within to savour all of the dreams which I planted during fall, Nature, in its infinite wisdom provides us with the gentle guidance which we need all the time – we simply need to tune in and listen to our authentic voices. Fall is a wonderful season for rejuvenation and preparation.
I have fantasized about walking through a vineyard more times than I can count. My fantasy became true today and I could not be happier! One item checked off from my bucket list!
When we started on this journey Magsthree years ago, I had no idea where it would lead, who we would meet or what the results would be. What I knew then, was that I was being placed in a soul space which needed expansion and the voice in my head kept on saying: “Don’t die with your passion inside of you.” Talking about the soul is not something which is an everyday conversation, yet, SOUL is my everyday experience with life and with people. I have spent many sleepless nights wondering how I could create a simple way to help others understand the journey of the soul and to also make the connection between the every day ordinary, routines and the SOUL. I have thought long and hard about how I can help others take meaning from their day to day encounters and to be more aware of the blessings that are exchanged – whether it is a positive or negative soul encounter.
From across the miles, we want to say a special thank you to Paul and Sherin Clifford, owners of CAST AWAY TOUR in Saint Lucia! They provide a range of authentic experiences for the traveller who want to experience the rich cultural and heritage aspects of Saint Lucia. We want to thank them for their contribution towards my former student, who is blind, to get her massage table to work independently as a massage therapist! Together, we will make that dream come true on May 25th when we gather in the celebration of the launch of Soulful Encounters, Mags Magazine.
Her words, which inspired me the most were: “When I started, two students registered. Only one showed up but I decided to work with this one student, and together we created a masterpiece choreography.”
“I am delighted to register my Congratulations to Magdalene Cooman on the 2nd Edition of Mags E-Magazine titled ‘Soulful Encounters.’
This edition of Mags Magazine presents bold, deep, engaging content which covers the inner personal dimensions of life with which most if not every person can identify. The motivational content is written in a manner that is candid and reader friendly, engaging the reader in a soul searching journey.
The sketches of life stories echo the human experiences that serve to give significance to life. Additionally, they redirect the course of life, create resolve for purposeful living and very importantly, they provide introspective reflection for many struggling with similar encounters and feelings in finding their way. The producer’s own life story of twists and turns, challenges, soul searching and where she is today because of her quiet strength, deep spiritual exploration and self-determination, is a living testimony of what diligence and a purpose driven life can achieve.
Soulful Encounters is a delightful and thought-provoking reading from which everyone can benefit. I recommend Mags Magazine as a good investment not for the shelf but as a motivator for achieving self- fulfilment.”

It took us only 30 minutes to plan our major events and activities for 2016. Each planned activity is an intention which we put out in the universe. The manifestation of all of our dreams begins with a seed of intention. Now, I feel excited about the future because roles and responsibilities are divided; there are clearer lines for accountability and we will be able to measure our success. Our plan also leaves lots of space for being spontaneous!
For the first time in a decade, I even know exactly when I will be taking my holidays! That is amazing!
Pull your dreams from the boxes, baskets and drawers. Lift them from the endless journals and thoughts that make you feel dizzy when you think of the possibilities. Let go of the people who bury you and your dreams alive. Stand tall and give yourself permission to capture… Continue Reading “Live your Dreams and Silence your Fears”
“I want you to know that it is never too late to study or to do what you want to do.” Her grandmother told her. After raising her six children, Rima’s grandmother, Tamara, went to university in her 60’s to study medicine although she never practiced as a medical doctor. However, she created a lifelong impression in the mind of the young eleven year old Rima, her first grandchild – that it is never too late to follow your dreams or to learn something new. Rima fondly recollected this memory during a business lunch meeting with her. She spoke with great love of her four daughters, her five grandchildren, women, newcomers to Canada and youth who are very dear to her heart. “I want to leave something better for my grandchildren.” She said reflectively. Her grandmother had a profound impact on her life as she thinks of the legacy she wants to leave behind.
My tears flowed nonstop as I helped her with the sewing machine and observed the pensive and thoughtful look on her face. I know how much this sewing machine meant to her and I am sure that if she was right here with me, she would tell me that it was her lifeline. Back in 1947, women like my mom did not have the fair advantage to go to school. She was denied an education because she was the eldest child and had to stay home to help her mother with the house work.
